🌐 Network – Infraestructure Backbone

Orypton currently operates on the Polygon PoS network, a proven and efficient Layer 2 solution built on Ethereum. This foundational layer enables the protocol to offer a fast, secure, and cost-effective experience while remaining fully compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM).

Polygon provides the optimal environment for Orypton's current phase of growth, offering:

  • Low Transaction Costs – Gas fees typically remain under $0.01, even under high demand.

  • High Throughput – Up to 7,000 transactions per second, ensuring responsiveness at scale.

  • EVM Compatibility – Full support for Solidity and Ethereum tooling, enabling smooth integration with wallets, DeFi protocols, and third-party infrastructure.

⮕ Network Security

Orypton's operations benefit from the dual-layer security model of Polygon:

  • Validator Layer (PoS) – Decentralized validator network ensures consensus and integrity.

  • Ethereum Checkpoints – Regular finality checkpoints are submitted to Ethereum L1, inheriting Ethereum's security guarantees.

  • Non-Custodial Framework – All interactions are fully non-custodial: users retain control over funds, votes, and governance identity.

⮕ Interoperability

  • Native Bridges – Supports fast, low-cost bridging between Ethereum and other chains.

  • DeFi Ecosystem Ready – Compatible with MetaMask, WalletConnect, Uniswap, Aave, and other leading protocols.

  • Oracles & Indexers – Integrated with Chainlink, The Graph, and third-party infrastructure providers.

⮕ Future Vision: Toward a Custom AppChain

While Polygon PoS is the ideal network for current operations, Orypton is designed with network agnosticism and modular scalability in mind.

As user adoption and protocol complexity grow, the community may transition toward launching an Orypton AppChain—a dedicated blockchain tailored to the specific needs of the ecosystem, using the token as a native of the network.

AppChain Objectives:

  • Full infrastructure sovereignty

  • Custom gas fee logic (or zero-gas for specific actions)

  • Built-in incentives for validators, voters, and contributors

  • Optimized throughput for vault strategies and DAO processes

Technology options under review:

  • Polygon CDK (zk-based appchains with Ethereum settlement)

  • Cosmos SDK (sovereign chain with modular governance)

  • Substrate / Polkadot (shared security and parachain models)

  • Rollup-as-a-Service on platforms like Celestia or AltLayer

All major decisions regarding network migration will be proposed and approved through DAO governance.

Orypton’s multi-phase approach allows the protocol to scale with confidence—from a battle-tested Layer 2 foundation to a sovereign blockchain infrastructure that empowers every stakeholder in the ecosystem.
